What is our marketing plan?

Do you have one?  Is it easy to understand and immediately clear how it’s supporting your business?  Can you easily articulate it to someone else?

 

Building the right marketing plan is probably the most important marketing step you'll take.  Why?  Because without it, you're going in search of gold without a map or even a compass.  Just walking down the road.  Doing stuff.  

 

Creating a marketing plan is all about getting buy-in, setting clear objectives for all investments (money, time, people) and agreeing on how everything will be measured.  It's the stage where the key company stakeholders come together to understand and input on how marketing will support what the business is looking to achieve, what the plan is and how they'll know if it's working.   And, the really difficult part, is being really clear on what ' the job of marketing' is.......what's marketing really here to do.  And to do that, you really need to understand the business.

 

Here at Truelogic, building marketing plans in conjunction with the key people in the business is our 'bread and butter.'  We're not at the 'creative' end of marketing - although we can help make that bit work for your business.  Our experience is at the commercial and sales end of marketing, where the rubber truly hits the road.  And so whilst we can have an opinion on whether a website banner should be blue or grey, the real expertise we bring is translating what CEO's, MD's and Sales Directors are looking to achieve into a marketing plan, framed in pipeline and revenue numbers, that meets those objectives.
